AMERICAN
STAND UP - MIXED MARTIAL ARTS...
American Stand Up is built upon two foundations: #1 fighters as
the priority and
#2 produce the best quality the mixed
martial arts world has ever seen.
The leadership team at American Stand Up are all active duty members of the
United States Military.
We run American Stand Up profit free, giving all profits back to the fighters to
support training, travel and fights. This fact, along with our slow and persistent approach to advertisement, separates us from the 20 other
brands that pop up at every event but go under as there is no way to support the rock star image they portray. We are not completely selfless as we get incredible joy out of taking care of and building relationships with fighters. The fighters truly are the focus of American Stand Up, and we believe that this will lead to long term success in the industry. We currently sponsor over 80 fighters in 4 countries.
We are absolutely obsessed with quality. Every ounce of our effort is spent towards developing the best product on the market.
At American Stand Up we have spent $0 on marketing our
product to corporations. Our entire marketing plan is to equip fighters with the best pair of gloves, headgear,
Thai pads, etc that
they have ever seen, and in return they'll tell 100 other fighters about us.
WHO
WE ARE..
We are the amateur fighters who travel 300 miles, on are own dime, just for the opportunity to fight.
We are the professional fighters who sell shirts out of the back of a truck to pay for training.
We are the fighters who live in the gym, are always in shape, and show up ready
to fight with less than 2 days notice. We are 100% fighters
and are about taking care fighters.
WHO
WE ARE NOT...
We are not thugs, pimps or commercial. We are not the trendy new MMA rack at
Footlocker, and soon Wal-Mart.
We are not the $30,000 logo in the center of the UFC octagon. We are not a tiny logo on the left pocket of an undershirt for a headline
fighter. We are not company owners who think we deserve more spotlight than our fighters.

American Stand-Up sponsored Team GETYASOME traveled to
Tarkio, Missouri, for the Northwest Fight Club's GOLD RUSH event. Dustin Hartwig improved his record to 2-1 when he defeated JaMarcus Brown of Leavenworth, KS via
tapout due to an arm bar at 2:30 of round one. Most of the action involved vicious knee strikes while standing in
the clinch, however when it went to the ground Hartwig's submission ability quickly ended the match. Nathan
Holde (Top Picture) improved to 4-1 with a win over Frank Trombino of Nebraska City, NE. Holden drove Trombino into
the cage and immediately secured a standing guillotine and then finished the choke on the ground via
tapout at 0:33 of round one. Jeremy Small (21-7) was featured in the main event of the evening versus Mike Jones
(15-5) of Columbia, MO, for the Northwest Fight Club's Middleweight Championship. After a few early leg kicks by Small the action pressed
against the cage wall when Small picked Jones up to should height and slammed him to the canvas. Small's submission skill proved too much for
Jones as Small wins via tapout due to an arm triangle at 1:00 of round one... and is now the Northwest Fight Club Middleweight
Champion (Bottom Picture). Team GETYASOME trains out of the Hands 2 War Gym located in Crete, NE. June 23, 2009

Not even a week after Team Tim Gillett fighter Josh LaBerge's last
victory he now faced an even bigger challenge in Strikezones’ Chris Simmons
(6-1). Josh LaBerge, a foundation fighter of the American Stand Up
sponsorship team, agreed to fight Simmons, who boasted an impressive reccord
with his only loss being to Ken Stone, on short notice and only six days after a
unanimous decision victory over Frank Latina at USFL’s “Springfield
Massacre.” Each man came out strong at the start of round one. Simmons scored
a take down and initiated the ground fight. The rest of round one, and the
majority of round two and three, was a grappling match. LaBerge was able to
control the fight on the ground, defend against Simmons’ submission attempts
and maintain top position for the majority of the fight. His wrestling and
ground and pound were too much for Simmons and won LaBerge the decision.

American Stand Up created "Cage Feet" inspired by Frank Mir. 6 months prior to his fight with Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira. Frank asked for a ankle brace that provided grip for the bottom of his feet to help with his striking. The resulting product was beyond all expectations and not only provided grip for striking, it provided an incredible advantage in his guard.
